The 2^nd installment of your real estate tax is due on January 8, 2026.

All dog letters have gone out and just a reminder that all dogs and wolf hybrids over 6 months in age must be licensed by April 1^st per Vermont State Statue 20 V.S.A. § 3581(a).

This year we will be doing a drawing for dog tag #1. All dogs licensed on time will be eligible. On April 2, we will draw a random tag number from the eligible registered dogs. That dog wins and trades in their tag for the #001 tag and the dog’s photo is will be displayed in the lobby of the Town Clerk’s office for the entire year!

The filing period has opened for Vernon’s March Municipal elections. The following positions are open a full list of positions has been posted on the Town website. Petitions will along with the candidate consent forms can be picked up at the Town Clerks office and must be filed with the Town Clerk 5 p.m., January 26^th.

The Treasurer's office hours are as follows- Monday through Thursday 7am to 4pm.  The Treasurer can also be reached by phone at 802-257-2141 or 802-257-2140. Also, you can email at vatreas@vernonvt.org or treasurer@vernonvt.org .

Town Clerk’s office hours are as follows- Monday through Thursday 7AM-5PM but is closed between 2-3PM. (and by appointment) You can reach the clerk at 802-257-2139 or email clerk@vernonvt.org.
