The Vernon Cemetery Committee meets tonight at 6pm downstairs.

The annual reports are in and can be picked up at the Town Hall. For those of you who already picked up your reports it has come to our attention that there was some missing information on Pages 14,21,22,23 and 24 of the annual report. We have handouts here with the information and the updated version has been posted to the Town Website located under documents/ Town reports/2025 annual report. https://vernonvt.org/town-reports/. Town meeting will be held on March 2^nd, 2026 at 6:30pm at in Vernon Elementary School located at 381 Governor Hunt Road, Vernon, VT in the school’s gymnasium. Election day will be March 3^rd, 2026 downstairs at Town Hall located at 567 Governor Hunt Road, Vernon, VT from 7am-7pm.

In case you missed the February 3^rd selectboard meeting the cost of a cemetery gravesite will be going up beginning March 1^st, 2026. The cost will be $600.00 per gravesite and $300.00 per cremation site plus the cost of corner markers.

Dog letters have gone out and just a reminder that all dogs and wolf hybrids over 6 months in age must be licensed by April 1^st per Vermont State Statue 20 V.S.A. § 3581(a).
