Voting on Town Meeting Article 1, School District Articles 2 & 3 and Articles 4 & 5 at the Vernon Town Office Building (downstairs) on March 1, 2022. Polls will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. The Annual Meeting will take place on May 1, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the School outdoor pavilion.

Article 2: Shall the voters of the school district approve the school board to expend $7,137,725, which is the amount the school board has determined to be necessary for the ensuing fiscal year? It is estimated that this proposed budget, if approved, will result in education spending of $18,883 per equalized pupil. This projected spending per equalized pupil is 7.1% higher than spending for the current year. (by Australian ballot)

Article 4: Shall the Town of Vernon authorize cannabis retailers in town pursuant to 7 V.S.A. § 863? “Cannabis Retailer” means a person licensed by the state Cannabis Control Board to sell cannabis and cannabis products to adults 21 years of age or older for off-site consumption. Article 5: Shall the Town of Vernon authorize integrated licensees in town pursuant to 7 V.S.A. § 863? “Integrated licensee” means a person licensed by the state Cannabis Control Board to engage in the activities of a cultivator, wholesaler, product manufacturer, retailer, and testing laboratory in accordance with state law.
