Locations and descriptions of the cemeteries in Vernon

The Vernon Cemetery Committee meets from March through November and invites anyone who is interested to attend our meetings.

The Committee walks through and monitors each cemetery to access any work that maybe needed. We also rely on our residents to inform us of any discrepancies that they may see. If you own a lot in one of the Town cemeteries, we ask that you check the condition of your shrubs, trees and other plantings and ask that you maintain them as required. The Town is not responsible for maintaining plantings that you do on your family lot. However, if they are not maintained and grow out of control we do have the right to trim accordingly.

David Howe of Howe’s Lawn Care in Winchester, NH provides excellent care  to our cemeteries.

Arrangements for gravesites may be made by contacting a member of the Cemetery Committee. For town residents, plots are priced at $150 plus the cost of placing four cornerstones. Non-resident plots cost $300 plus cornerstones.  Cornerstones are currently $200. Cremation sites are $100 and available in North and Tyler Cemeteries.
