It’s the time of year when you might see dogs running loose. If you spot dogs running loose, or if you surpect dogs are being abused,  Please contact Vernon’s animal control officer, Ashley Pinger, at the Windham County Sheriffs office, at 802 365 4922. Remember, Vermont law calls for all dogs over 6 months to be licensed every year, with the new licenses due by April first. Licensing fees will have a late surcharge added.  Dogs must have a current rabies vaccination at the time of licensing.
