Mrs. Shannon Miner, 6th-grade teacher and parent of a Vernon student, along with the rest of the Vernon Elementary School, is missing her students and school community greatly. She had a great idea to have a parade through town. Mrs. Mary Ross, Vernon school principal, sent out an evening robocall to let families know about the parade and a reminder to keep social distance from non-family and the road for safety. We miss our kiddos and it was great to see their smiling faces out in the yard with their families. It was a heartwarming event for all that participated and we hope to do it again in the future.
