Reminder-The 3rd installment of real estate taxes is due this Thursday May 7th, 2026. The service window in the treasurer’s office is open, if the clerk is closed.
The new town dog ordinance has taken effect. A copy of this can be found on the town’s website. https://vernonvt.org/ordinances-regulations/ and a second round of unregistered dog letters will be going out today. Under Vermont State Law, Title 20 Chapter 193 Subchapter 002; License (20 V.S.A 3581) all dogs and wolf-hybrids six (6) months of age or older must be licensed annually by April 1st through the Town Clerk’s Office in the town the animal(s) reside.

The Treasurer's office hours are as follows- Monday through Thursday 7am to 4pm. The Treasurer can also be reached by phone at 802-257-2141 or 802-257-2140. Also, you can email at vatreas@vernonvt.org or treasurer@vernonvt.org .
Town Clerk’s office hours are as follows- Monday through Thursday 7am-5pm but is closed between 2-3PM. (and by appointment) You can reach the clerk at 802-257-2139 or email clerk@vernonvt.org.
