A SPECIAL TOWN MEETING BEEN SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY JUNE 23rd, 2026 AT THE VERNON ELEMENTRY SCHOOL. AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE GOVERNOR HUNT HOUSE JUNE 3^rd, 2026 AT 6:30PM.

The Vernon Elderly Assistance Board will hold a meeting on Wednesday, April 20th, 2026, at 5:30 pm at the Uncles Jesse’s Cafe, Vernon, Vermont.

The Vernon Cemetery Committee will be meeting downstairs tonight at 6:00pm in person only.  

The Town Clerk’s office and Treasurer’s office will be closing at 2:00pm this Thursday May 21^st, 2026 and will be closed Monday May 25^th, 2026 for Memorial Day.

The Cusick Scholarship forms are now available at the Town Clerk’s office. Please stop by in person or email clerk@vernonvt.org .

The new town dog ordinance has taken effect. A copy of this can be found on the town’s website. Under Vermont State Law, Title 20 Chapter 193 Subchapter 002; License (20 V.S.A 3581) all dogs and wolf-hybrids six (6) months of age or older must be licensed annually by April 1^st through the Town Clerk’s Office in the town the animal(s) reside. https://vernonvt.org/ordinances-regulations/
