The seniors are meeting today at noon downstairs in person only.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 6:30pm there will be a Special Town meeting held at the Vernon Elementary School Gymnasium, 381 Governor Hunt Road.

It has come to our attention that some residents may not have received the warning for the special town meeting in the mail.  I there are copies posted at the post office, school and Town Hall. It can also be found on the Town website under documents/agendas, minutes & videos/election and of course you can always stop by the Town Clerk’s office and grab a copy!

The new town dog ordinance has taken effect. A copy of this can be found on the town’s website. Under Vermont State Law, Title 20 Chapter 193 Subchapter 002; License (20 V.S.A 3581) all dogs and wolf-hybrids six (6) months of age or older must be licensed annually by April 1^st through the Town Clerk’s Office in the town the animal(s) reside. https://vernonvt.org/ordinances-regulations/

Town Clerk’s office hours are as follows- Monday through Thursday 7am-5pm but is closed between 2-3PM. (and by appointment) You can reach the clerk at 802-257-2139 or email clerk@vernonvt.org.
