There is a rabies clinic Saturday January 17th from 10am-1pm at the Windham County Sheriff’s Department at 185 Ferry Road in Brattleboro.

Town Offices will be closed on Monday January 19th in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The filing period has opened for Vernon’s March Municipal elections. A full list of positions has been posted on the Town website. Petitions will along with the candidate consent forms can be picked up at the Town Clerks office and must be filed with the Town Clerk 5 p.m., January 26th.

Dog letters have gone out and just a reminder that all dogs and wolf hybrids over 6 months in age must be licensed by April 1st per Vermont State Statue 20 V.S.A. § 3581(a).

This year we will be doing a drawing for dog tag #1! All dogs licensed on time will be eligible. On April 2, we will draw a random tag number from the eligible registered dogs. That dog wins and trades in their tag for the #001 tag and the dog’s photo is will be displayed in the lobby of the Town Clerk’s office for the entire year!
