The Vernon Town School Board will host a public Information night on Monday February 16th at 6:30 pm at the Vernon Elementary School Cafetorium. Come hear about the FY27 School Budget and have your questions answered.
In case you missed the February 3rd selectboard meeting the cost of a cemetery gravesite will be going up beginning March 1st, 2026. The cost will be $600.00 per gravesite and $300.00 per cremation site plus the cost of corner markers.
Everyone should have received there yellow or blue Town Meeting Warning in mail over the weekend but in case you missed it, it is also available at the Town Clerk's Office as well as on the Town website under documents/Agendas & minutes/Elections. Town meeting will be held on March 2nd, 2026 at 6:30pm at in Vernon Elementary School located at 381 Governor Hunt Road, Vernon, VT in the school’s gymnasium. Election day will be March 3rd, 2026 downstairs at Town Hall located at 567 Governor Hunt Road, Vernon, VT from 7am-7pm.
The Cusick verification forms are due back by February 15th at 5:00pm. These can be dropped off in person, mailed, emailed or placed in the lockbox. I will check the box after 5:00pm.
Dog letters have gone out and just a reminder that all dogs and wolf hybrids over 6 months in age must be licensed by April 1st per Vermont State Statue 20 V.S.A. § 3581(a).
