Good morning!

The Seniors will be holding their Birthday picnic today at noon at the Rec.

A quick note from the Treasurers office all tax bills were put in the mail August 5, 2026 and their service window is open! Please be on the lookout for yours!

The August primary is tomorrow August 11th, 2026. Be sure to vote! It is too late to request an absentee ballot be mailed but you can still stop by and complete the Vermont absentee ballot form in person at the Town Clerk’s office. You can take it with you as long as you return it by election day August 11, 2026, 7:00 PM. This can be done in person or it can be placed in the drop box on the Governor Hunt side of the building.  If you are sick or have a disability, a ballot can be delivered to your home.  Please keep in mind we are closed on Fridays. 

Vernon's Draft Hazard Local Mitigation Plan Rev. 001 has been uploaded to the Town website under Documents/Town plans and Town Maps and is now open for comment. 

The Windham Regional Commission will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday August 18th, 2026 at 6:00pm regarding the purposed update to the Windham Regional Plan. The meeting will be held at WRC Office located at 139 Main St., Suite 105, Brattleboro, Vermont. The Treasurers office hours are as follows- Monday through Thursday 7am to 4pm.  The Treasurer can also be reached by phone at 802-257-2141 or 802-257-2140. Also, you can email at vatreas@vernonvt.org or treasurer@vernonvt.org .

Town Clerks office hours are as follows- Monday through Thursday 7am-5pm but is closed between 2-3PM. (and by appointment) You can reach the clerk at 802-257-2139 or email clerk@vernonvt.org.
