Today is the final day to license all dogs and wolf hybrids 6 months old must be licensed by April 1^st per Vermont State Statue 20 V.S.A. § 3581(a). Avoid late fees, ensure your pet is compliant and your community is safe. Tomorrow, we will be raffling off dog tag #1! The winner receives the #1 tag, a photo featured in Town Hall all year, and a prize gift bag.

The Town Clerk’s office will be running on reduced hours 9am-2pm next Tuesday April 7^th, 2026 and the treasurer’s office will be closed.

The Vernon School Board is seeking a community member to fill an open three-year term on the School Board of Directors. Serving on the School Board is an opportunity to support local students, staff and families by helping guide district policies, budgets, and long-term planning. Board members attend regular meetings, review materials, and participate in thoughtful discussions and decision-making on behalf of the school community. Please reach out to any current board member or Mary Ross, the principal at Vernon Elementary School for additional information.
