Town Hall news September 30

Good morning from Vernon. Cloudy with highs in the low 70's.
Town Hall is open. The Treasurer's office will be on reduced hours this week. Please leave a message at 802 257 3077 or vatreasurer@vernonvt.org. You can also contact the Town Clerk at 802 257 0292 and clerk@vernonvt.org.
The Vernon Select board will meet tomorrow night at 6:30 both by zoom and downstairs at Town Hall. Here's the agenda

November election ballots have been mailed by the Secretary of State's office and many residents received them on Saturday. If you have been mailed a ballot that is not yours, please return it unopened to the Town Clerk's office. Voted ballots can be mailed, dropped off or put in the outside drop box. If you wish to vote in person election day, bring the ballot with you or we will need to have you sign an affidavit before giving you a new one.
Vernon is no longer doing town wide trash and recycling collection. You will either need to contract with a private hauler or bring everything to the Windham Solid Waste District transfer station in Brattleboro.
The change in season also means I'm back to wearing long pants.
Have a great day and we will see you soon.
