Tomorrow is the final day for Town Wide Trash and Recycling pick up. Pay as you throw bags are available at the Town Clerk's office, Vernon Free Library, Guilford Country Store and J Spec Auto. Beginning October first, residents will need to contract with a private hauler or take their trash recycles and compost to the Windham Solid Waste District transfer station in Brattleboro.
The state is mailing November ballots to all active voters. If you do not receive a ballot by October 5th, please contact the Town Clerk's office. If you get a ballot but wish to vote in person on November 5th, bring the ballot with you or you will need to sign an affidavit before getting another ballot. We want everyone to vote, but only one vote per person.
