From Vernon Emergency Management Director David Emery: Windham County can expect to see wind gusts of 50 miles an hour or above tonight and tomorrow, with flooding also possible in low lying areas. Two inches of rain is possible, with a rapid temperature drop expected Friday afternoon. Wet surfaces, including roads, will ice over within a matter of hours once the temperatures begin to drop. Please plan for the possibility of extended power outages during the coming storm.
