There will be in person voting at the Vernon Town Hall on November 3, from 10-7. All voters and election workers will need to wear masks. Already, 765 people have voted early as of October 30. When you come to vote, you may either bring the ballot sent to you, or pick up a new ballot. Anyone needing a new ballot will need to sign an affidavit of lost ballot form. If you would like to vote early, you still can by placing your ballot in the secure drop box outside our Governor Hunt Road entrance. If you have a question about a ballot, or it you’d like to become a registered voter, please let us know.
This election season, we’ve been fortunate to have been awarded grant from the non profit Center for Tech and Civic Life, to purchase additional election related safety gear. Purchases for the election have included hand sanitizing stations, and an ultra violet wand to disinfest items before reuse.
Our office has also been busy administering a Vermont Covid 19 grant, that will enable property researchers to access land records on line. The New England Municipal Resource Center, and Recordsforce of Portsmouth New Hampshire have been assisting with this project, which has also included the purchase of a large document scanner to be shared with the Lister’s office. Our goal is to have the records accessible for researchers on a 24/7 basis, without having to come to the office.
It’s been a busy fall, but we remain committed to serving you. If there is something you need, please contact us, at (802) 257 0292 or by e mail firstname.lastname@example.org
