August 2020 news from the Vernon School Board

As you may have seen in the news recently, Governor Phil Scott has announced an executive order setting September 8 as the opening day of K-12 schools. Our Principal Mary Ross is currently working with our new Superintendent Andy Skarzynski on our schools re-opening plans.

The school board will be meeting in August on Monday the 10th and Monday the 24th.  We are now conducting our meetings on Zoom and you are welcome to join us by video or just audio if you like.  Our agendas are posted  here a few days before the meetings and they include the Zoom link information.

A reminder to all parents and guardians – the Summer Food Program offers FREE meals to any child 18 years of age and younger and runs through Friday August 14th.  More information can be found  here.

If you have any school related questions, feel free to reach out to any of us and we will be happy to answer your question or get you pointed in the right direction.
