Annual Mums & More Sale at the Vernon Historical Museum

Saturday, August 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Vernon Historians will hold their annual Mums & More Sale on Saturday, August 29, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Vernon Historical Museum (intersection of Route 142 and Pond Road south). The sale features a nice selection of chrysanthemum plants from Griffin Gardens and is a fundraiser to support the work of the Historians. Craft work such as pottery, jewelry, plus jams and baked goods, will be for sale as well.

Monies raised by the Mum Sale help to pay for producing booklets and programs and for supplies related to the presentation and preservation of local history. In addition to the artifacts and other historical contents of the Vernon Historical Museum, the Historians also own and maintain the historic (1860) Pond Road Chapel, and some funds are used to pay maintenance expenses, insurance, and utilities for that building.
